At 3:19 this afternoon station 58 as well as shrewsbury station 61, Baltimore county station 45 were alerted for a structure fire in New Freedom Boro. Local PD advised over the radio that this was a working fire. Engine 58-2 and Tower 58 were first arriving units with heavy smoke conditions coming from the home . Engine 58-2 members with a hand line made entry into the home and found fire in the basement. Members from Tower 58 laddered the home and helped push the hand line in the door for crews while they put an attack on the fire. Baltimore county station 45 assisted with Hooking up our water supply and sending their crew up to assist with fire extinguishment. Engine 61-2 and Rescue 61 arrived sending their members up to grab an additional hand line and going to the rear of the home to back up members from 58-2. Crew members from 58-2 had put a hard knock on the fire and begun over haul looking for fire exstion. Members from 61 set up scene lighting in the home and helped with overhaul and clean up.

Thank you and great job to all crews for the fast response, team work on getting the job done and then staying to help with clean up.
