8:30am New Freedom volunteers responded to the 5000 block of Hildebrand Rd for a reported structure fire

While responding crews were given additional update from YCDES stating that there were 2 calls in for a fully involved barn fire. Crews from Engine 58-2, Tower 58 & Engine 58-1 arrived to find just that.

Members quickly pulled hand lines and started an aggressive fire attack on this large fire. Our mutual aid partners from both York & Carroll counties arrived and assisted us with water supply, fire attack, overhaul and clean up.

Crew were on scene for roughly 2 1/2 hrs before clearing.
