At around 1500 hrs, crews gathered at Station 58 and awaited for the arrival of Santa Claus. After he arrived, Station 58 equipment led him down the hill in Parade fashion. The equipment arrived and prepared to send him to the top of the tree. As the Ladder Truck set him at the top of the tree, Santa used his magic to complete the lighting of the tree. Santa was then set down to take Christmas wishes from all the children that gathered. We would like to specially thank Santa, as well as New Freedom Borough for helping bring the tree to life.
Santa will also be making a special trip around New Freedom again on December 24 to get some last minute gift ideas. Crews from 58 will be taking Santa around town sometime after 5 P.M. on Wednesday Dec 24. Make sure you are listening for the fire trucks and looking out for Santa Claus.
