By Firefighter Trevin Caruccio
February 28, 2008

At around 9 o'clock this morning, Station 58 was dispatched for a dwelling fire on Old Barn Road cross of Falls Road in Baltimore County 44 Box. Truck 58 went responding shortly after with a crew of 5, being advised that B.C units arrived with a working fire. Engine 58-2 was then dispatched and responded as well. Truck 58 arrived with a two-story dwelling fully involved, and truck crews were ordered to get the aerial set up and assist in exterior operations. Crews opened the front door and went to work along with firefighters from B.C Engine 60, 44, and multiple other companies. With minor problems, aerial operations were held off until problems were fixed. Crews continued to assist Engine companies, as others worked to fix the Truck. The problems were quickly fixed and hydraulic overhaul was started with the Tower's master stream. Crews remained on scene for approximately 5 hours to assist B.C crews with extensive overhaul and equipment clean up. Truck 58 and Engine 58-2 were then placed available per command.
