By Lieutenant Kris Shearer
February 25, 2010

At 0619 Hours Truck 58 was alerted to Baltimore County box 45-17 for a structure fire. Units arrived on scene with a working fire. Truck 58 arrived on scene and was sent to the interior to start ripping walls and ceilings to assist the engine company. Truck companies assist the engine companies to help locate and extinguish hot spots hidden in walls and to also help investigators find causes of the fire. The crew also sealed up the home with equipment off the Truck. Truck 58 was placed in service at 0938 hours. When Truck 58 was backing into the station York County hit out a second structure fire assignment for a chimney fire in box 47-07. Truck 58 went enroute and arrived on scene and was ordered to put the aerial into operation. Crews in the bucket checked the chimney and dropped a chain and weight down the chimney to help clear the debris/blockage. The chimney was all clear and the box was placed n service around 1057 and Truck 58 returned to station.
