WE WILL NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, Rose Fire Company #1 pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice shown on that day.

We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost, including 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, and all of the first responders who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape.

We also remember those who survived, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders who have suffered or lost their lives in the years since due to illnesses related to their service at Ground Zero.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor their courage, sacrifice, and service.

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the heroes.
May we never forget the way our country came together.
