Working Fire Glen Rock

November 23, 2018

At 5:04 pm Tower 58 & Engine 58-1 were alerted to respond to a structure fire in Glen Rock. While en-route crews could see a smoke column and flames from a mile out. Once members arrived they had to walk up a steep hill to get to the scene due to a narrow driveway covered in hose lines. Crew Members made it to the top of the hill to find a 2 story residence that was fully involved. Members went right to work assisting Glen Rock (station 59) and other surrounding fire companies with fire extinguishment and major overhaul. During this call 2 fires had sparked in the woods near the home that members from Shrewsbury Fire Company (Station 61) handled. Crews were back in the station shortly after 9:30 pm cleaning up and putting equipment back in service.

Great job to everyone involved.
