First Due Barn Fire

By Deputy Chief Joshua Campbell
July 11, 2016

Around 1am on 7/11 York County Communications dispatched Box 58-16 for a working barn fire. Units miles out were able to see flames from the area. Crews arrived to confirm dispatch with a working barn fire and requested a tanker taskforce. Master streams were used from 2 ladder trucks "one tower, one tiller" to gain better access above the fire for suppression. Units marked control at 2:56AM and remained on scene till 9:20am hitting hot spots and spreading out hay. Thank you to all the members who put in a good night and days work. Thank you to the mutual aid companies for the assistance as well.
