The Rose Fire Company is fortunate to have a strong Junior Firefighter program, with 11 active Junior Firefighters between the ages of 14 and 17. Today the Tower Company was requested by the York Fire School to assist in the Ladder / Height Confidence portion of the Exterior Firefighter Class where 3 of our own Junior Firefighters our pushing themselves to be better educated in the fire service skills and tactics.

What is the Junior Firefighter Program with the Rose Fire Company AND how can I join?

The Junior Firefighter Program provides young men and women with an exciting opportunity to learn about firefighting and emergency medical services as future career / volunteer choices. Cadets are young men and women ages 14 though 17 from all areas of the community that participate in fire department training activities, meetings, fundraisers, and once certified are able to ride the Fire and EMS apparatus.

All cadet activities are closely supervised by fire department personnel and cadets must adhere to standards of good conduct. The policies and procedures of the Fire Cadet Program have been developed based on past Department experience, desires of youth program stakeholders and, in some cases, the mandates of local law. This program develops character and leadership qualities in a friendly and professional setting. The Fire Cadet Program provides youth with positive adult and peer role models in a safe and supervised environment.

To join our Junior Firefighter Program or for further information Please Contact us at Info@RoseFireCo.com OR stop by the Fire Station on Thursdays nights.
