At 00:09hrs, Station 58 was alerted for the Residential Structure Fire in the 3800 block of Steltz Road, Shrewsbury Township (Box 58-06).

Deputy 58 (Shearer) was the first to arrive, reporting normal conditions and establishing the Command. Upon his investigation, an active chimney fire was discovered with a smoke condition inside the residence. Engine 58-1 (Asst. Chief Campbell) and Tower 58 (FF. Baum) responded, assisted by Engine 61-2 and Rescue 61 (Shrewsbury), Engine 59 and Tanker 59 (Glen Rock), Baltimore County Engine 451 (Maryland Line), and Engine-Tanker 7-3 (Lineboro). MICU 58 provided the medical response.

The Engine crew from 58 took the interior operations, Chief 58-1 (Campbell) was the division supervisor. The Truck crew from 58 along with the Engine crew from 61 took the roof operations. The fire was contained to the chimney space with no extension to the dwelling.

Units cleared the fireground at approximately 01:30hrs.
