At 2136 hours, Station 58 was dispatched for a Truck and Engine response to the 21000 block of Gunpowder road in Baltimore County. The two units along with Chief 58 responded shortly after, and Chief 58 arrived with heavy smoke and fire showing. Truck 58 and Engine 58-1 were first arriving and requested a working fire profile for a fully involved dwelling. Engine 58-1 laid approximately 1200 feet of 4 inch for water supply and proceeded with fire attack. Crews from the Engine and Truck pulled a 2 1/2, 2', 1 3/4 handlines as well as tools and went into defensive fire operations. 58 crews worked with crews from Baltimore and Carroll counties to extinguish the fire. After the fire was knocked, 20 gallons of foam was mixed in handlines and was used to blanket the remaining hot spots. After extensive overhaul, 58 equipment was placed in service around 0200.
