| At 08:51hrs Station 58 was alerted to respond with engine and truck mutual aid into Baltimore County for a barn fire on Middletown Rd in northern Baltimore County. Truck 58 Lt. Shearer responded with Engine 58-2 Firefighter Gillispie responding shortly thereafter. While in route Baltimore County units reported a working fire. Upon arrival of the first responding units the barn was fully involved and a 2nd alarm was requested. Station 58's engine and truck crews assisted in placing lines in service to protect the exposed stuctures in the vicinity of the barn. Truck 58 was positioned and the stick was placed in service also. Crews were on scene into the afternoon to extinuish the fire and for overhaul. Crews responded from several Baltimore County stations as well several from Carroll and York Counties. The barn along with equipment and hay stored inside were a total loss. |
