Today members at Rose Fire Co were busy with, a scrap yard fire, tree into a structure, 2 electrical pole fires, 1 False automatic fire alarm, followed by a faulty CO detector and Medical call.

Member were busy for hours this morning with a scrap yard metal compactor Fire in the 61 local. Crews worked aggressively with strong winds fighting them to put this fire out. Crews from all around worked together and was able to gain control and extinguish this fire. While crews were battling this fire station 58 was alerted for a large tree on a residential home. Since our crews were busy helping Shrewsbury Fire Company with the fire, Station 54 (Eureka volunteer Fire Co.) covered us on that call.

Minutes after being released from the 61 fire box station 58 was alert for two calls back to back.

One being a wires and pole fire in the Boro and the other one being and AFA (Automatic Fire alarm) at Steam Into History. Station 58 requested for Glen Rock Engine 59-1 to cover our wires and pole fire so that Engine 58-1 could head to the AFA. Engine 59-1 took control of the fire and was cleared from the scene while 58 cleared from a false alarm set of by a power serge.

Minutes after clearing the AFA station 58 was alerted for another wires and pole fire in the Boro. upon arrival Engine 58-1 found 2 wires making contact and sparking. Med Ed was requested to the scene to correct the issue.

Crews finally returned to the station to clean up from the original 61 fire box and to take a break.

About 40 mins into clean up station 58 was alerted for a CO leak in boro. Crews responded to the location and checked the home for any possible leaks, no leaks were detected. Crews then came across a faulty CO detector.

Just before 6:30 this evening crews were alerted to Chicken Coop Park for a Traumatic Injury. Subject playing Baseball ended up with a dislocated knee. Luckily a doctor was on location and was able the assist with relocation of the subjects knee. Crews cleared the scene and returned back to station getting a much needed rest.

Despite the high winds all crews did a great job working the 61 Fire Box.
