Station 58 along with the first alarm assignment was dispatched for the kitchen fire in the unit block of Lakeside Drive, Shrewsbury Twp. Engine 58-1 (FF. Baum Sr.) arrived with a working fire and stretched a handline for an interior fire attack. Truck 58 (A/C Holloway) arrived and provided ventilation. Quick work was made of the fire and Command held the assignment to units on scene for overhaul. It should be noted that some of our recently made Firefighters (K. Baum Jr. & B. McGillin) were the attack crew and made an excellent stop on the fire. Recruitment, training, and retention matter!
Units from Station 61 (Shrewsbury), Station 54 (Stewartstown), Station 35 (Dallastown), and Baltimore County Station 45 (Maryland Line) were also on the scene and assisted. Assistant Chief 58 (Holloway) held the Command.
