Engine and Truck Put in Work at First Due House Fire

At 0042 Hrs. York Co. dispatched Engine Companies 58, 61, 59, Balt. Co 45, Truck 58, MICU 58 and Balt. Co Tanker 45 for the reported "Deck on Fire" at 1013 Oakwood Rd. in the 58-13 Box Area. Engine 58-2 arrived on location reporting a 2 story single family dwelling. with heavy fire showing through the roof. Engine 58-2's crew advanced the 200' 2" attack line to the 2nd floor were they encountered heavy fire conditions above. Engine 61-1 arrived establishing the water supply and the crew advancing the 200' 1 3/4" attack line to back-up and assist. As Chief 58-1 established the command Truck 58's crew went to work throwing 5 ground ladders to sides "A" and "C" and the interior crew opened for the attack companies. Engine 59-1 arrived and the crew advanced a 200' 1 3/4" attack line and stood by on division with crew members assisting with hooks. Truck Company 54 arrived and went to work performing overhaul duties. The additional crews on scene were used to swap manpower in and out as companies awaited the State Fire Marshall. Once the cause was determined Companies 58, 61, and Balt. Co 45 were held to finish overhaul and final wet down. Chief 58-1 (McGillin) had the Oakwood Command, Chief 61 (Myers) had Division 2 and Engine 61-1 Driver had Water Supply.
